Daddi
It's been five years without you, Five years to help us grieve. I know it was hard for you to give up, I know you had to leave. I've done just as you wanted, I've done just as you told. I got straight A's for you daddi, I even got the gold. There's a couple more things daddi, To help fill you in. In case you can't see me from there, I have your eyes, hair and skin. I've got your brains in math, And common sense pretty much too. I play volleyball, baseball, street hockey and soccer, One of my favourite colours is blue. You've made me a better person, And have all of my respect. And there's one thing daddi I'll assure you, Your love - I'll never neglect. It's getting late now daddi, I better go to sleep. I don't know what I'll dream of, Maybe we can meet. Well daddi I really miss you, Daddi I want to cry. I've always been a daddi's girl, Why'd you have to die? Kati Harris 2000 Citadel Middle School
